Statement on Sarah Halimi

When 31-year-old Kobile Traore murdered Sarah Halimi in her Paris apartment, he was screaming Jew-hating abuse. He murdered her because she was Jewish. 

Yet France’s highest appeals court said that because he smoked marijuana beforehand, he can’t be held accountable for brutally killing an innocent woman. That is, the killer will not be tried in a criminal court for what he did.  He will be confined to a psychiatric hospital.

France wants you to think that drug abuse is an excuse to murder a Jew.  

This. Is. Not. Acceptable.

Demand justice for the Jewish community! Demand justice for Sarah Halimi! We will NO LONGER allow Jew-hatred to exist without consequences. Halimi was a Holocaust Survivor. We will not allow her memory to be disgraced by continued injustice in France. 

Write to the court to demand justice: 

“Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of the Jewish community and the End Jew Hatred Movement I am disgusted at your recent ruling in the Sarah Halimi case.

Your decision that smoking marijuana could render someone temporarily insane absolves the murderer of responsibility and opens the door to more racist murder of Jews in France.

I demand justice for Sarah Halimi and for all persecuted Jews fighting this evil.”
