International Holocaust Remembrance Day Vigil

WHY

Jews Are Not Safe in Berlin

Incidents of Jew-Hatred in Germany average around five per day. Jews in Berlin are once again afraid to wear Jewish symbols in public.

We stand with the Berlin Jewish Community and demand the right for Jews to be able to walk the streets of Berlin, or any other city, without fear of being attacked.

We refuse to hide our Jewish identity.

Jewish life in Berlin will improve with actions, not words.

You Can Help Make Life Safer for Jews in Berlin

WHEN

On July 25, the Jewish Community in Berlin will take to the streets demanding their rights to safety and public self-expression as Jews. They will march under the banner of #EndJewHatredBerlin.

WHAT

To join in solidarity post a picture of yourself wearing Jewish Symbols on July 25 on your social media platforms, with a message of support for the Berlin community and #EndJewHatredBerlin.

We are also hosting “Shofar Protests” at local German Embassies and Consulates around the world. The shofar has always been a Jewish symbol of awakening. What better way to send a wakeup call to Germany than to show up on July 25 with your shofar at a German embassy or consulate?

To participate in a shofar please email action@endjewhatred.com with the subject line “Shofar Protest”. You will be contacted by a representative of the #EndJewHatred Movement to help you coordinate.
